The Empire Shade is Lumiere’s signature sculptural pendant light, designed to bring warmth, texture, and timeless elegance to any interior. Inspired by the iconic language of Noguchi lighting, its softly rounded form combines a hand-woven rattan structure with natural linen, creating a balanced interplay of softness and structure.
Handmade in Bali by master artisans, each Empire linen pendant light diffuses a warm, ambient glow that works beautifully as statement lighting or as part of a layered lighting scheme. Its versatile spherical shape allows it to adapt seamlessly across residential and commercial spaces, from dining rooms and living areas to hospitality and design-led interiors.
Available in four refined neutral tones and seven size options, the Empire Shade offers flexibility for varying ceiling heights and spatial scales. Designed to naturally unfold and hold its shape over time, it can also be paired with an optional metal frame for a more structured look. For optimal ambiance, we recommend using a warm-toned bulb to enhance the natural texture and depth of the linen.
