Description

A sculptural cloth wall sconce designed to bring soft, ambient light to bedrooms, hallways, and intimate living spaces. The Flume mounts flush to the wall and can be installed as a hardwired fixture or paired with a plug-in cable for a flexible, non-permanent setup.

Important
Hardwired installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician. This fitting is not UL listed. A plug-in cable is available separately for customers who prefer a flexible setup.

Does the light come with a bulb?
No. Bulbs are not included so you can select the right fit for your setup and preferred light quality. Bulb specifications are listed in the product description.

What bulb does this light take?
The Flume takes an E27 Edison screw base and is compatible with LED bulbs. We recommend a warm-toned LED (2200–2700K) at a maximum of 8W.

Is it compatible with LED bulbs? 
Yes. We recommend LED bulbs only.
For reference:
5W LED : 40W incandescent - soft, intimate
8W LED : 60W incandescent - warm ambient
10W LED : 75W incandescent - brighter, less suited to cloth

Does it work with a dimmer switch?
Yes, if fitted with a dimmable LED bulb, the Flume is compatible with a hardwired dimmer switch. The dimmer is not supplied. Confirm compatibility with your electrician at the time of installation.

How is it installed? Does it require an electrician? 
The Flume is available hardwired or plug-in. Hardwired installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician. The plug-in option requires no electrical work and can be set up independently using one of our cord sets, sold separately.

What are the installation options?
•Hardwired: mounts flush to the wall via a permanent electrical connection. Requires a qualified electrician. E27 fitting, CE certified.
•Plug-in: connects via a cord set (sold separately). No electrician required. Suitable for rental properties or spaces where hardwiring is not practical.

Can it be used in a bathroom?
With care. The Flume is rated IP20, meaning it is not waterproof. It can be used in a bathroom zone that sits outside areas directly exposed to water or steam, but we do not recommend it in a high-moisture environment. Bathroom electrical zones vary by country - consult a qualified electrician to confirm suitability for your specific installation point.

Can it be used outdoors?
No. The Flume is for indoor use only.

Can I customise this piece?
Custom sizing and colourways are not available for standard retail orders. For trade or wholesale projects requiring customisation across multiple pieces, contact us to discuss requirements.

What does the Flume weigh?
Approximately 660g, excluding packaging.

What is the wall light made from?
The Flume is produced from woven cloth in our Bali studio.

How do I care for it?
Settled dust can be removed with a vacuum on a low suction setting or with a dry, slightly damp cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners, solvents, or abrasive materials. Always switch the light off and allow it to cool before cleaning.
